Our founder, Ken Vilkin, started in the precious metals business in 1984. Ken proved to be a natural-born salesman, going from a part-time job at a coin shop to starting his own coin company in Beverly Hills in 1984. In 1999, Ken formed the parent company of Blue Moon Coins and moved north to Vancouver, WA; where we still are today. Ken Credits his success in the business to straight talk and fresh ideas. He was a major distributor of state quarters in 2000 and was the first to debut PCGS certified silver dollars recovered at Ground Zero in March of 2002. Ken also created the world's Ist ever internet marketing campaign for sunken treasure, premiering booty recovered from the S.S. Republic in 2004. Over the years, Ken's versatility and marketing skills have helped the company grow into what is today.

Aaron Scott joined Blue Moon Coins in 2009 bringing a fresh perspective and a lifetime of experience. Aaron bought his first silver round at age six and by age 13 he'd traded in his summer vacations to work at his dad's jewelry and precious metals store. From 2001-2008, Aaron helped grow his family's business, playing an active role in over $100 million of coin and bullion trades. He also has experience with creating high-end custom jewelry, brokering diamonds, and has played a major role in the design of our new website. His passion for business and his exceptional customer service has made him an invaluable addition to our company.
